About the artist
Heather Dewey-Hagborg is a transdisciplinary artist and educator who is interested in art as research and critical inquiry. Heather has shown work internationally at events and venues including the Ars Electronica, Transmediale, CCCB, ZKM, PS1 MOMA, the New Museum, and Eyebeam in New York. She is an Assistant Professor of Art and Technology Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Stranger Visions is a series of sculptured human faces based on DNA that the artist obtained from objects such as chewing gum and cigarette butts collected in public places.
